Fire crews were called out when a horse became trapped in a trailer today.

The animal was stuck in a horse box which fell onto its side at the Strang Crossroads at around 11.15am.

Fire officers managed to remove the roof from the trailer and the horse was able to walk free, relatively unharmed by its ordeal.
