Expert predicts effects of proposed expansion

A leading figure in Northern Ireland's Independent Retail Trade Association is predicting job losses and the closure of some Island retailers, if proposals to expand the Tesco store in Douglas get the green light.

The scheme, which would create up to 250 new jobs, will be the subject of an inquiry early next year and chief executive of the association Glyn Roberts will be among those giving evidence:
