Consultation on proposed appointments extended

Chief Minister Tony Brown says two new posts being considered by government would make things much easier for people with complaints about public bodies.

News bills would establish a Tynwald Auditor and a Tynwald Commissioner, both of whom would deal with complaints and provide impartial investigations into problems.

The consultation period on the appointments has been extended by a month to October 16.

Mr Brown says the idea is to streamline the procedures which can already be followed by those with a grievance:
