Campers' representative backs planned restrictions

A member of the Sulby Claddagh Liaison Group has changed his mind over criticisms he made of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

William Black is the campers' representative on the group, and had criticised it and the department for being unrepresentative of users.

But, after meeting Minister Phil Gawne, Mr Black says he has a better understanding of the problems facing the site and nearby residents.

He says he's now ready to support DAFF's proposals to restrict camping, to tackle anti-social behaviour:
