Director explains reason for delays

Problems with navigation systems at Ronaldsway Airport are only temporary while work is being carried out on the runway, according to airport director Ann Reynolds.

The RESA extension scheme has meant some of the equipment used by pilots in poor conditions has had to be moved, which has resulted in delayed flights during the recent bad weather.

But Ms Reynolds says the end of the work is now in sight, and services should return to normal once it's finished.

She says not all flights and operators have been affected:
