More opinion sought on northern campsite

by isleofman.com 11th September 2009

A political member of the Department of Agriculture says she is very disappointed with the apparent lack of interest in the future of the Sulby Claddagh campsite.

Brenda Cannell, MHK, says more than 800 consultation papers were sent out to canvass opinion as her department tries to tackle problems with anti-social behaviour there.

But only around 40 people have sent in their opinions on proposals to make the campsite smaller, and the deadline for submissions has now been extended to September 21.

Mrs Cannell says she's surprised more people haven't been in touch already.
