MHK says scrapped plan should never have been considered

Pensioners in the Isle of Man can breathe a sigh of relief, with the news tourism chiefs have decided to drop a controversial plan to bring in further charges for senior citizens on the buses.

The proposed introduction of half-fares for two further hours each day was due to come into effect next month.

However, after concerns raised by politicians and the public, the plan has been dropped.
