Attacker warned jail is likely

by isleofman.com 9th September 2009

Sentence on a 26-year-old man who carried out what was described as a 'sustained and relentless attack' on another man has been adjourned for reports.

Cesar Maya, of Castle Mona Avenue in Douglas, admitted a charge of affray.

The court heard police saw two men fighting in Castle Drive, Douglas at 3.30am on August 1.

Maya was seen punching the other man several times, causing him to fall to the ground, where he continued to attack him.

Bailing Maya until September 29, High Bailiff Michael Moyle warned him custody was likely.
