Rigby on Song

by isleofman.com 9th September 2009

Double Aland NatWest Island Games gold medal winning archer Sarah Rigby has continued her fine form of the summer season.

She finished third in the Ladies Compound Division of the Meridan Club's WRS Double FITA Star event over the past weekend only just behind two Great Britain internationals.

Indeed, she was tied second with Christie Westman but had to settle for third after a gold count.

Sarah obliterated her Manx record with a huge score of 1360 gaining her FITA 1350 and GNAS Master Bowman recognition awards. The latter recognises the top 1% of Britain's competitive archers.

Sarah is pressing for Commonwealth Games selection for Delhi in India next year.

While older sister Charlotte was forced to sit on the sidelines due to injury, 13 year-old Aalin George also performed well setting a new Junior Manx record at 1294 to finish 12th out of the entry of 21.
