Meetings continue on future of former prison

There are still no definite plans for the Island's former prison in Victoria Road, Douglas, a year after its inmates were transferred to the new jail in Jurby.

Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw says although there are some ideas in the pipeline, any decision is being held up by talks over preserving parts of the historic building.

His department is meeting with the Department of Local Government and the Environment over the issue, and Mr Earnshaw says this has led to delays:
