A new website could be the way forward for many Manx retailers.
More than 40 Island businesses have signed up to the on-line directory - shopiom.com - with more expected to sign up.
For a fee of ?250 shops can have their own e-commerce website on the Shopiom platform with total control over their content.
Shopiom site project manager Lisa Underwood says the scheme gives owners of local stores an easy portal to what the web can offer retailers.
