A major international conference for small nations, looking at how best to deal with the global financial crisis, is under way at the International Business School.
Taking place over the next ten days, it will feature talks from leading figures, including professors from Oxford and Harvard
Issues such as tax policy and transparency will be discussed and Treasury Minister Allan Bell says he would be happy to sign tax information exchange agreements with developing nations, providing they had proper structures in place.
The Isle of Man has already signed 17 with countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia, but Mr Bell says there is a genuine desire to sign agreements with smaller nations too:
