The first disabled man to sail single-handed around Great Britain is in the Isle of Man this weekend, to help Sailing for the Disabled celebrate its 25th anniversary.
An accident at the age of 18 left Geoff Holt quadriplegic, but his determination to sail again has proved an inspiration to others.
On Friday night he gave the keynote speech to 160 members and supporters of the organisation, including the Lieutenant Governor and Lady Haddacks, at a gala dinner at the Hilton Hotel.
Geoff says the charity does immeasurable good for the whole community (play audio file):
You can hear more of that interview with Geoff on Monday's Mandate programme, from 7.30am.
