Sam to launch ship in China

'I'd Do Anything' star, Sam Barks will officially launch the Isle of Man's newest ship at the end of the month.

The 'Caly Manx' is being built for Manx-based ship owner Lars Uggland at a shipyard in China, and is the first of three sister vessels.

She will sail under the Manx flag and Sam will be joined by Chief Minister Tony Brown and Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney at the event.

Director of the Isle of Man Ship Registry Dick Welsh says she's a great choice to sponsor the ship:
