Three men arrested as police seize drugs

Police say they have intercepted ?55,000 worth of drugs which were destined for the Island's streets.

The Drug Trafficking Unit made the seizure of Class A and B drugs in East Baldwin, shortly after 6.30pm yesterday.

Two men, a local 23-year-old and a 25-year-old from Merseyside, were arrested and later in the evening officers arrested another local man, aged 26, in Peel.

Detective Sergeant Allan Thompson says it's a sizeable seizure which won't now be peddled on the Island's streets.

He is urging members of the public to contact the Drug Trafficking Unit with any concerns about drug dealing.
