The 7.30am Manannan sailing to Liverpool has returned to Douglas.
A minor technical issue has occurred and, given the weather conditions in the Mersey, the Master decided in the interests of safety to return to Douglas.
Snaefell has been made ready to operate the sailing to Liverpool. It is anticipated that Snaefell will depart at approximately 11.30am.
Due to the volume of traffic on the last day of the Manx Grand Prix, Snaefell will not be able to accommodate all the passengers and vehicles from the 7.30am Manannan sailing.
The Company anticipates that Manannan will be back in operation for this afternoon’s (Friday) sailing from Douglas.
There is sufficient capacity on Manannan for those passengers and vehicles that cannot be accommodated on Snaefell.
Passengers are being given the choice of sailing on Manannan at 16.30 or the Ben-my-Chree sailing at 7.45pm.
The 11.30am Liverpool to Douglas sailing will depart at approximately 3pm (check-in by 1pm) and will be operated by Snaefell.
There is sufficient capacity on Snaefell to accommodate all passengers and vehicles booked on that crossing.
As a result of Snaefell carrying out the Liverpool sailings, this evening’s sailings on the Dublin route may be delayed. A further update on these sailings will be provided later today.
The Company is doing all it can to minimise disruption and inconvenience to passengers.
