Top rider demands paddock improvements

TT star Ryan Farquhar is calling for more tarmac to replace areas of grass in the paddock at the back of the Grandstand.

During Grand Prix fortnight, heavy rain has turned many of the parts where competitors are living and working into deep mud.

For a number of years, Farquhar has spurned the chance to be based with all the other top TT names nearest to the start line, in preference for some hard-standing.

He says the problems of the past two weeks must not be allowed to happen again:
