A 37-year-old man has been jailed for a total of 20 months by Deemster Doyle after admitting drugs charges.
Gary Elliot Foulis, of Oak Avenue in Pulrose, admitted three offences, committed on December 15 last year.
They were possessing cannabis with intent to supply, and possession of the drug and cocaine.
The court heard Foulis was detained by police at Nunnery Howe after they saw him driving around a field throwing items from his car.
Police discovered cannabis and cocaine in his car, as well as scales and drugs paraphernalia, and officers recovered other items from the field.
A search of the defendant's home also uncovered cannabis, cocaine and significant amounts of cash.
Foulis told police he had bought the drugs for his own use over Christmas, when they were difficult to buy, but agreed he would have given some to his friends.
His advocate said he was almost clear of drugs and hoped to be drug-free when he left prison.
