Why don’t boys do as well as they should?

That's what a special conference at the Hilton Hotel in Douglas hopes to find out, later this month.

The event will examine why boys underachieve and will feature a series of workshops and seminars looking into both the reasons for the problem and how it could be tackled.

It's been organised by Braddan Primary School deputy head Max Carroll-Kelly, who is also a trustee of the Isle of Man Children's Centre:
