MHK unhappy with waste disposal suggestion

Onchan MHK David Quirk says he doesn’t see why ratepayers in the east and south of the Island should have to pay for the disposal of waste from the west.

The Western Civic Amenity site is to close for months and locals have been told to take their rubbish to other sites.

But Mr Quirk says ratepayers who have to foot the bill for those other facilities will end up subsidising residents in the west, and that's unfair:
