by isleofman.com 3rd September 2009

The motorcyclist who died in a crash in Kirk Michael earlier this week was a former member of the rockband Echo and the Bunnymen.

Fifty-three-year-old Jake Drake Brockman was a keyboard player with the Liverpool group from their 1987 self-titled album until they split up in 1993.

He died on Tuesday after an accident involving his motorbike and a converted ambulance.

The band’s official website, bunnymen.com has a tribute to him.

Mr Brockman is the second member of the band to die in a motorcycle accident, after Peter De Freitas was killed 20 years ago.
