The date by which comments on the proposals for the management of Sulby Claddagh should be submitted has been extended to Monday 21st September 2009.
The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry issued outline proposals for the future management of the popular Sulby Claddagh site in July 2009.
The proposals were prepared following a round of consultation held in 2008.
Hundreds of residents subsequently attended a public meeting last Tuesday (1st September) at St Stephen's Church Hall in Sulby.
Chairman of the Forestry Division, Brenda Cannell MHK, said, “We are very keen to hear everyone’s views.
"Due to ongoing discussions amongst various individuals and groups, it has been decided to extend the closing date by two weeks to Monday 21st September.
"This should give everyone the chance to comment on the current plans which can then be reviewed prior to our making further progress”.
The paper showing the Department’s proposals can be obtained from http://www.gov.im/daff/Consultations/SulbyCladdagh, the Forestry Division Office at St. Johns, telephone 801263 or at Rose House, 51-59 Circular Road, Douglas.
Comments should be sent to Mr. R.A. Sidebottom, Director of Forestry, Amenity and Lands, Hope Road, St. Johns, IM4 3AS by 21st
September 2009.
Responses should be marked as confidential if you do not want them to subsequently be published.
