It has been announced the funeral of Bishop Noel Jones, the former Bishop of Sodor and Man, is to be held in York on Monday, September 14 at 12 noon.
The Requiem Mass at All Saints, North Street, York, will be followed by cremation.
Bishop Robert Ladds will be the principal celebrant and the preacher will be Bishop David Hope.
The Rt. Revd. Jones, who was Bishop of Sodor and Man from 1989 to 2003, died on Friday last week after battling bladder cancer.
The family requests no flowers but donations in lieu may be made to St Catherine’s Hospice, Throxenbury Lane, Scarborough, North Yorks. YO12 5RE.
