This evening's Lightweight and Junior Manx Grand Prix races have been cancelled.

Organisers say it's because of a road traffic accident at Orrisdale in Kirk Michael.

They races were originally due to take place this afternoon but were delayed until this evening following a fatal accident in the Newcomers' race at lunchtime.

But just minutes before the roads were due to close at six for the Lightweight and Junior the call came through to Manx Radio to say they were off.
