Today's second set of Manx Grand Prix races has been delayed until this evening because of the poor weather forecast and current damp conditions.

Apparently the decision was made just a few minutes before they were due to start, with bikes heading out to the start line.

Roads, which have reopened after racing earlier, will close again at six this evening with the bikes due to get away at half past for the Junior and Lightweight Classics.

A knock-on effect of this is all this evening's football matches on the Island have been postponed.
