Electricity and petrol prices on the Island go up today (Tuesday).
Electricity is rising by 1.1 per cent, calculated by a formula of inflation, which was negative when the figure was calculated, plus two per cent.
It applies to all domestic, commercial and 'maximum demand' customers.
The MEA price increase formula was agreed by Tynwald in June 2005 to help deal with the unauthorised loans affair.
Meanwhile, fuel duty goes up by 2p per litre, a second increase since April, as announced in this year's UK budget.
That's set to push petrol on the Island up to around the 115p per litre mark again, with another hike in duty planned for April next year.
It'll also go up on New Year's Day when VAT returns to 17.5 per cent.
