Former Bishop of Sodor and Mann . .. Noel Debroy Jones CB has died after a short illness.
He was 76 and passed away yesterday evening (Fri) at a Hospice in Scarborough where he had been receiving care for the last few days.
Noel Jones . .. whose first name commemorated the fact that he was born on Christmas Day . . . . .enjoyed a distinguished career as a naval Chaplain before taking up his post in the Isle of Man . . a change in career which he admitted took him by surprise.
