Cash boost for chamber

by isleofman.com 28th August 2009

After worries about this year’s funding situation, the hyperbaric chamber in Douglas has been given a ?5,000 boost by a local charitable organisation.

Castletown Ale Drinkers Society raised more than ?7,000 during the annual tin bath races this year and handed over a cheque to the chamber last night (Thursday).

The money eases worries the facility might close because of a lack of support, although those involved with it say more cash will be needed in future.

Dr David Chalmers says more financial support is still needed.
