Bumper A-level crop predicted

by isleofman.com 28th August 2009

A record year for GCSEs promises to become a bumper crop of A-levels in two years time.

So says co-ordinating advisor of 11-19 Education, Paul Craine, after the Isle of Man’s students achieved a set of record-breaking results on Thursday.

This year’s GCSE pass rate was 98.5 per cent - one per cent higher than last year.

Mr Craine says many of those students will stay on to do A-levels.
