Marshalling point moved after MGP incident

An incident during last night's practice session has led to a marshalling point on the Mountain being moved.

Rider Simon Marshal was airlifted to hospital after his machine left the road and struck the original marshalling position.

Marshal Hugh Evans was seen by a doctor but fortunately wasn't seriously injured.

Clerk of the course Phil Taubman says the incident highlighted a potential problem and action needed to be taken as the safety of marshals is always at the forefront of his mind:
