From ballots to beer!

A leading union boss says he’s confident the organisation will continue to go from strength to strength without him.

Former regional industrial organiser for the T&G section of Unite Mick Hewer stood down after two years in the post to become the licensee of the Marine Hotel in Peel.

He says he’s looking forward to the new challenge and different career as he swaps ballots for beer and disputes for drip-mats.

But Mr Hewer says there’s still a strong team in place at the union.
