Old prison would be TT Museum

by isleofman.com 25th August 2009

There are calls for the old prison in Victoria Road in Douglas to be turned into a TT museum.

The building has been empty since the transfer of the Island's prisoners to the new facility in Jurby over a year ago.

And questions are being asked again over the future of the old site which served as the Island's prison for over a century.

Speaking on Talking Heads, Roy Moore, one of Manx Radio's commentators, said a museum would be a good idea.
