The best man at an Island wedding had a lucky escape on Saturday – when a piece of housing on a church bell fell off and hit him.
The accident happened after a marriage at Malew Church as the wedding party were leaving the building.
But he only received a cut and, although it required hospital treatment, he was well enough not only to attend the wedding reception later but also to deliver his speech.
