Bloomin' marvellous - floral find astonishes!

A thought-to-be extinct variety of the flower gladiolus has been discovered - in Andreas!

Distinguished botanist Professor Michael Tooley was giving a talk in the Island when he listed some varieties of plants believed to have disappeared forever.

However, keen gardener Edward Huyton (Pron: High-ton) was in the audience and recognised the flower – before telling the astonished Professor he had it in his garden!
