Lord Street re-opens to two-way traffic

by isleofman.com 21st August 2009

One of the busiest roads in Douglas will fully re-open today (Friday).

Lord Street has been one-way since the end of June, when work began on widening the road.

It comes just in time for the start of Manx Grand Prix, with the first practice getting underway tomorrow.

Director of Highways, Bruce Hannay, hopes a number of schemes, including the improvements to Lord Street, will help avoid the queues seen at last year's event.
