Dog danger warning

by isleofman.com 19th August 2009

The dangers of letting your dog off the lead on the Island's headlands and cliffs are being highlighted by the coastguard and the MSPCA.

Lynne Renshaw, of the animal charity, says she's amazed at how many dogs she sees running around on places like Marine Drive, sometimes with the owner nowhere to be seen.

She says the wildlife up there, rabbits and seagulls for example, are a tempting target for your dog.

Meanwhile, David Keggin of the Isle of Man Coastguard says one spot on Marine Drive, Horse's Leap, seems to be particularly dangerous.
