10 more clubs to achieve Charter Standard Community Club status by the end of the season.

That's the testing target set by the Isle of Man Football Association Development unit as the new campaign gets into full swing.

Currently 5 of the 26 senior clubs have achieved this goal - Castletown, Colby, Corinthians, Laxey and Peel.

Next in Charter ranking are the 2 Development Clubs - Douglas Royal and St. John's United.

There are 14 at the Club Award level - Ayre United, Braddan, Gymns, Malew, Marown, Old Boys, Onchan, Pulrose United, Ramsey, Ramsey Youth Centre, Rushen United, St. George's, St. Mary's and Union Mills.

Four clubs have achieved the lowest grade of Adult as they have no junior section - Douglas & District, Foxdale, Police and Ronaldsway.

The only Manx club not rated in the scheme is Michael United.

The sport is currently enjoying a boom in numbers, particularly with youngsters, as Development Officer Jack Walton explains:-
