'Hotels could close' over work permits issue

The hospitality sector in the Isle of Man is suffering because of a lack of work permits being issued to foreign workers.

Chairman of the Manx Hospitality Partnership Theo Fleurbaay also claims it could lead to the closure of some hotels.

According to the latest government figures there are currently 61 vacancies, which is more than any other sector.

And Treasury Minister Allan Bell has expressed frustration that more people can't be matched up with the jobs which are available.

Mr Fleurbaay says people are being put off by restrictions:
