Colby in the Mood-y

by isleofman.com 16th August 2009

Relegated Colby outlined their intentions to bounce back immediately into the top flight on Saturday.

They won their opening match of the CFS Division Two season in style, thrashing the Police 7-0 at Glen Road.

A hat-trick from new signing Andy Moody, two from Mark Barron and one each for Steven Leece and Kyle Lunn ensured a comprehensive victory.

Two sides with promise shared the spoils at Glencrutchery Road.

Braddan and Onchan drew 1-1 with Andy Lancaster and Rob Byrne scoring the goals.

The other side relegated last season, Ayre United, won a seven goal thriller against Douglas Royal in a match played at Castletown.

Stephen Parrish, James Teare, Matthew Montgomery and Jason Craine were the Ayre scorers with new signing Dave Skillen netting for Royal.
