Minister 'despairs' over inquiry

A senior member of the Manx government says he 'despairs' over the Langness public rights of way inquiry, which was adjourned yesterday until October so more witnesses could be called.

Treasury Minister Allan Bell, who is also Acting Chief Minister at the moment, was replying to a listener's question on Talking Heads today.

The caller asked if the delay would result in much additional cost to the taxpayer.

Mr Bell said he wasn't sure of an exact figure, but he was resigned to the fact more public money would have to be spent:
