Footpaths inquiry to resume in October

by isleofman.com 14th August 2009

Those with an interest in the Langness public rights of way inquiry have been given more time to get their points of view across.

Yesterday, inquiry inspector Roy Hickey adjourned the proceedings until October 12, so more witnesses could be called.

Earlier, Castletown Golf Links owner George Ferguson Lacey said he believed anecdotal evidence relating to the status of his land, at the northern end of the peninsula, should be heard from golf club members.

Mr Hickey decided an adjournment would be needed and set a deadline of the end of September for further legal submissions and bundles of evidence.
