Cummins breaks world mark at Dundrod 150

by isleofman.com 13th August 2009

Conor Cummins is officially the fastest road racer in the world.

He's won this afternoon's Dundrod 150 Superbike race, where the record books were simply torn apart.

The Ramsey Rocket went round at an average of 133.282mph on the last lap, no-one had officially lapped at over 132mph on any road circuit in the world prior to this race.

But in a blistering race this afternoon the previous mark was broken by Guy Martin, Ian Hutchinson and then Bruce Anstey before Conor took it through the 133mph barrier.

Afterwards, in his usual modest way, he described his extraordinary last lap as "decent".
