Up to 14 sheep killed in accident

Up to 14 sheep were killed and a 60 year-old man sustained minor head injuries in a collision on the Poortown Road.

It involved a farm vehicle, transporting sheep, and an Isle of Man Water Authority vehicle, both travelling in opposite directions.

A number of other sheep were seriously injured in the incident which occurred around 2pm on Monday.

Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have witnessed the collision.
