Stay of execution for Island churches?

An architectural historian has given a ‘cautious welcome’ to news Island churches are to be maintained.

Earlier this week, a new report was published advocating change in the way the Anglican Church operates in the Island.

Among 78 recommendations, it was revealed church closures will not be considered, although there’s a warning some church buildings need to be adapted and used more within the community.

However, while Peter Kelly says that is undoubtedly good news, he admits there’s many things to address.
