Blu-ray DVD an instant hit!

Two government ministers were enthusiastic in their praise for a new high definition Blu-ray DVD of the 2009 TT, at an advance screening yesterday evening.

The Duke Video production, created from footage filmed by North One Television, contains four hours of breathtaking images of the races, and the Island itself.

It's one of the first motorsport videos in the world to be released in the super high definition format, and both Treasury Minister Allan Bell and Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney were instant converts.

Mr Bell says the Isle of Man has never looked better, and believes the Blu-ray DVD could attract general tourists as well as motorbike fans to our shores:
