Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne and his department’s conservation officer Liz Charter have given evidence at the Langness inquiry.
It follows evidence yesterday which heard how part of the area in question is registered for special scientific interest.
The public inquiry into Rights of Way at Langness is continuing at the Mount Murray today (Wednesday).
It has also heard from retired ships master David Greenhalgh who moved to the Island in 1976 with his family.
He said he has walked all over Langness ever since and has never recalled any of the paths being closed.
