Loundes Wins Peel Hill Race

It's a busy week for athletics following on from the Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday.

Kevin Loundes was the winner of the Peel Hill Climb which took place on Monday evening in great conditions. He completed the course in a time of 22 minutes and 9 seconds to win by over a minute.

Darren Gray was runner-up with Nigel Armstrong taking third.

The Ladies race saw visiting Isaline Hughes from Binden take the honours in 29 minutes and 5 seconds. Second went to Sarah Curphey who finished just ahead of fellow local runner Janice Quirk.

The Northern 10K takes place on Wednesday evening with the Anna Maria Cuttillo Foxdale 6k on Thursday
