'Big Tidy Up' planned for next month

Local residents, businesses, schools and voluntary groups are being asked to make the Island's capital a cleaner place to live in.

Douglas Borough Council is arranging a 'Big Tidy Up' over the weekend of September 19 and 20, as part of a United Kingdom-wide initiative organised by the Keep Britain Tidy Group.

It will have a similar format to a 'Don't Rubbish Douglas' event, held a few years ago, when hundreds of volunteers answered the call to get involved.
