Island media coverage a 'bumper crop'

by isleofman.com 8th August 2009

The Department of Tourism and Leisure says it’s reaped a bumper crop of press coverage for the Island over the last year.

Over the 12 months to April, the DTL says it arranged 26 media visits to the Island – including film crews from ITV, the BBC, Germany and Italy.

It says every one of the visits it organised has generated positive publicity and showcased the Isle of Man as a holiday destination.

So far this year, the department’s communications arm estimates it's attracted the equivalent of ?200,000 of advertising through media coverage.
