Not Too Late to Leap!

by isleofman.com 7th August 2009

If you fancy taking part in the Isle of Man’s highest ever bungee jump this weekend, the good news is that you can sign up on the day and still get to make a leap.

Tomorrow (Saturday 8th), scores of dare devils will be taking the plunge from a 160 feet crane at the Royal Manx Show, in aid of the Isle of Man Children’s Centre.

Whilst many people have already registered, the IOMCC say that would-be jumpers can also register today or Saturday at the Show.

The only stipulation is that anyone taking part must be over 14 and have ?105 in cash on the day to cover the cost of the jump and the minimum of ?75 which each individual is required to find in sponsorship.

The IOMCC’s Fundraising Coordinator Mark Eastham said the aim was to give as many people as possible the opportunity to jump:

“We appreciate that for some people the decision might be made right at the last minute.

"The good news is that we can cater for those who sign up today or Saturday itself, as long as they have ?105 in cash on the day of the event”.
